Influence of the Wood Ageing Process on its Physico-chemical and Fire Hazard Properties
Aging of wood in natural conditions occurs already during biological development and life of wood plants under certain climatic conditions. The biological age of plants is reflected in all properties of the wood of felled trees. How the biological age of plants affects the natural aging of wood products in their subsequent use is not clear and requires special consideration.
