Spatial Multi-Criteria Analysis for Sustainability Assessment Based on Disaster Losses in Batu City
Sustainability assessment reviews can be conducted in a variety of ways and methods. Although multi-criteria decision analysis is the most widely used method for assessing sustainability in a given area, combining it with geographic information systems is still uncommon. By spatially and visually combining MCDA and GIS, policymakers can better translate priorities for what needs to be done to realize the integration of environmental, economic, and social aspects. Batu City has a very complex character of the three aspects of sustainability and vulnerability to disasters. This study aims to find sustainability aspects, and policy alternatives following the pattern of disaster events in Batu City. The SSAM II results and correlation with disaster events show that the environmental priority model is the best fit.
