Investigation of the Effect of Ageing Temperature on a Set of Steel 15NiCuMoNb5 (WB36) Service Properties. Part III. Effect of Thermal Aging on Mechanical Properties and Critical Brittleness Temperature
Results of mechanical tests of WB36 steel for various thermal aging time bases are presented. Graphs of changes in strength and ductility properties of base metal and tensile strength of a welded joint depending on the aging time are presented. Results of tests for impact bending in the ductile-brittle transition temperature range for various exposures during aging are presented. Values of the ductile-brittle transition temperature for base metal and a welded joint are determined depending upon thermal aging time.
