Conclusions 1. When designing hydraulic structures in gypsinate soils it is necessary to calculate also the casual piping strength of soils. 2. So far there is no method of calculating the casual strength, but for structures with conditions of the time of disturbance of the casual strength analogous to the given examples it can be calculated by the existing formulas with consideration of the correction factor Kc obtained. 3. A calculation will determine the need for implementing cutoff measures in the case when the duration of occurrence of deformations obtained is less than the designed service life of the structure [5].
