A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
A new collaborative design environment for engineers and architects
Abstract Civil Engineering and Architecture are disciplines that highly depend on collaborative work and design. We introduce a design and collaboration system that makes use of conventional and AI communication techniques. The system addresses questions relating to authorship, design ownership, design procedures, alternative design methods, and the use of large, distributed data bases for a multitude of users to support the above activities. Three practical examples form the center of the description: Phase(X), Multiplying Time, and the Delft Experiment.
