Durability of Bitumen Adhesive Bonding in Mineral Composites
A methods has been developed and studies have been carried out in the field of dependence toughness of adhesive bonding of bitumen and granite against such technological factors as the temperature of preparation of asphalt-concrete mixture and its holding times at this temperature. The possibility of predicting the durability of an adhesive bitumen mix with mineral components of asphalt concrete has been proved. On the basis of the thermofluctuation theory of strength, we proposed the technique for determining the durability parameters of the roadway. It is established that due to thermostating, the quality of the adhesive bonding of bitumen can be significantly improved. Obviously, the practical application of these calculations can provide increased strength, durability and wear resistance of road asphalt concrete pavements.
