Parametric Study of High Rise Building with Skybridge
The limited land availability in populated cities give rise to build, high rise buildings in relatively near as linked building system which consist of several structures connected by skypools, skygardens, skybridge. Skybridge is elevated walkway consisting of an enclosed bridge between two or more buildings. Skybridge provides additional escape routes, horizontal evacuation at height, convenience for communication under emergencies and fire. The parameters such as storey drift, displacement, and storey shear that influence response of high rise building with skybridge, under the seismic load were studied. And also extends to compare its influence by varying the skybridge connection type (fixed, hinge and roller) and effect of skybridge at various floor level. The results shows skybridge located at three quarter height and fixed connection have better performance. Analysis is done using ETABS Software.
