Study of Plan Irregularity on Different Seismic Zones
Population growth as well as shortage of land increased the demand of high rise building and aesthetic perspective of construction activities resulted in plan irregular buildings. Structural irregularity have several effects on the response of structures. Structures with configuration irregularity possess a serious threat from ground motion. This study focused on the analysis of different plan irregular buildings in different seismic zones using response spectrum method. The attempt was to know the effects of plan irregularity in high rise buildings under different seismic zones using ETABS 2018 software and comparing the responses of plan irregular buildings and selecting a seismic-resistant plan. The results indicate that the value of displacement and drift have effects on plan irregularity.
