The emotional component of City Attractiveness is Magnetism. We study in this chapter the elements that can give us a good proxy to this concept. As it is an emotional issue, we are facing a subjective topic, but marked by clear areas that we will discover. We are going to approach the Magnetism of a city from a timeline, as a permanent historical phenomenon of construction and development of that power of attraction. Thus, we will address the past (Identity), the present (Dynamism) and the future (Strategy) as fundamental blocks and then, we’ll describe their most important elements.
