A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Abstract Our work in the present chapter centers around the basic concepts in viscoelasticity and its mathematical representation. We first introduce some experimental facts that indicate the “history dependent” character of viscoelastic behavior that is reflected in the functional relation between stresses and strains.
