Causes of damages sustained by thrust bearings with elastic metal-plastic segments are analyzed in detail. Characteristic dimensions of the damages sustained by these bearings are cited. Recommendations are given for operation of thrust bearings with elastic metal-plastic segments so as to disallow serious difficulties in their operation.
