A New Research on Campus Renewal Design Strategy from the Perspective of “Campus - City Symbiosis”
A Case of Xixi Campus of Zhejiang University
Under the background of the popularization of campus education and the socialization of campus logistics, the relationship between campus and city has become increasingly closer. Based on the concept of balanced architecture and symbiosis of Zhejiang University, this research innovatively explores the two-way interaction between campus and city. It systematically sorted out the design elements and summarized the design strategies of the campus-city boundary space in a layered manner. The research of Zhejiang University Xixi Campus is taken as a case which is expected to provide a more universal, specific and in-depth method, theory and practice optimization strategy for the renewal of the boundary space of the city center.
