Hazard Risk Analysis. A Worst Case Scenario Approach
Hazard Risk Analysis in about safety, reduced consequences, customized strategies and perfect action plan in a context subjected to change and risks. Considering the inequitable distribution of hazards, people all around the world are exposed to devastating natural disasters. Several countries restructured their policies, plans and strategies in risk management, invested time, effort and money to reduce the consequences of these phenomena. They started with identification of specificities and vulnerabilities, understanding potential risks and managerial processes. In view of these aspects, the present paper focuses on the analysis of hazard risk, considering a worst case urban scenario for the City of Iași, underlying vulnerabilities and critical points, current action plan, rescue procedures and facilities. The purpose of this study was to ask questions on the urban potential to absorb shocks, resist, adapt and transform and on the population capacity to face and recover physically and mentally from a disaster.
