Since the reform and opening up, China’s highway construction industry has developed rapidly. In 2016, the mileage of the new expressway in China exceeded 6000 km, with the total mileage exceeding 130,000 km. In 2017, China will also add more than 5000 km of expressways. According to the highway network development plan announced by the State Council, China is accelerating the construction of the main skeleton of the national expressway network.
