Numerical Studies of Thawing in Sloped Permafrost Soils Beneath a Building with a Mound
Predictive modeling of temperature regimes in permafrost soils under building foundations was conducted, with regard to the floor insulation thickness and slope of the embankment. Furthermore, a joint temperature calculation of enclosing structures and foundation soils in a non-stationary setting was performed. Predicted soil temperature values under a building serve as inputs for assessing slope stability and the potential for solifluction occurrence.
