Application of Waste Bones in Civil Engineering Practices
Due to the high consumption of meat, the suitable disposal of the bio-waste is a major concern in most of the developed countries. Large quantity of by-products is generated at the sites where the manufacturing of edible meat foodstuffs takes place. Bones are one of those by-products which remain untreated and unused and led to create some serious health and environmental issues. Many researchers have found several alternative ways to utilize this waste in a useful manner to reduce its harmful effects. This paper summarizes the current existed studies on the use of bones as various forms in civil engineering practices.
