Study on the Proportion of Stratum Deformation in the Excavation Stage of Metro Station with the Pile–Beam–Arch Method
Pile–beam–arch (PBA) method is one of the most used method in metro construction, while few research is involved on the station with PBA method in heterogeneous ground, and the existing research results cannot be simply applied. Therefore, this paper based on the Tianhe East Station project of Guangzhou Metro Line 11, field monitoring and numerical simulation method are adopted. Then, the influence law and proportion of stratum deformation (including surface subsidence and vault settlement) on different excavation stages in the heterogeneous ground of Guangzhou Metro Line 11 with the PBA method is revealed. The results show that the field monitoring results are in good agreement with the numerical simulation result. The construction stages of the pilot tunnel and arch occupy the largest proportion of vault settlement and surface subsidence, which are the key construction stages, reaching 54.1% and 31.7% (for vault deformation), and 47.4% and 36.1% (for surface subsidence), respectively. In addition, during the construction process, the maximum values for vault settlement and surface subsidence are 25.67 mm and 24.07 mm, respectively. Namely, the PBA method used in this paper led to less stratum deformation, which can ensure the normal progress of this relied project. Therefore, the PBA method can be used for metro station construction in heterogeneous ground. The construction stage of the pilot tunnel and arch should also be paid more attention to effectively control the stratum deformation.
