Can Smart City Construction Promote City Informatization?
Smart city is the senior form of city informatization and is the deep integration of industrialization and urbanization. The development of smart city is of great strategic significance to the transformation of urban life style, environmental protection and social management. This paper uses the panel data of 2001–2014 to test the relationship between smart city construction and city informatization in China. The estimation results based on PSM-DID method is that smart city construction promote city informatization but is not significantly different.
