Hydrodynamic Response of Perforated Offshore Members
This chapter deals with hydrodynamic response of perforatedPerforated offshore members cylinders under regular waves through computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The chapter deals with a brief introduction of fluid–structure interaction (FSI) and wave–structure interaction. Variations in water particle kinematics along the depth when encountered by perforated members are discussed in detail as they find a lot of recent applications in the retrofitting and rehabilitation of offshore structural members.
