National Culture, Organization Structure and Innovation: A Contingency Theory Perspective
There seems to have consensus among researchers that organic (decentralized) structure is needed for innovation. The fundamental argument of this paper is that innovation can occur in both organic and mechanistic structures. This paper posits a need to study the impact of national culture on the desired organization structure that is conducive to innovation.
