Seismic Precautionary Measures in Greece Archanes Case Study
Abstract Since very early times of human civilisation, like the prehistoric settlement of 1.500 B.C. at Akrotiri on the island of Santorini in Greece, the habitants of areas with high seismic risk had understood the necessity of a general communal resistance. Today, all over the world and in Greece, efforts are done to organise such risky communities to resist at all levels of their structure against the seismic risk.
