A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Pelletization serves for increasing of bulk density of dried sludge to 700-800 kg/m³ and for improving storage quality due to reduced surface to volume ratio and dust concentration. A higher bulk density also reduces transport volume. This chapter describes the special features of pelletized sludge and the layout of pellet forming plants. Also the specific electric energy demand and lifetime of pellet dies are mentioned.
