The Implementation of Integrated Mobility Planning: Navigating Challenges by Using Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) Approach
The implementation of integrated mobility planning in cities is a complex and crucial task, requiring the coordination of various stakeholders and the alignment of policies to ensure sustainable transportation solutions. The use of interpretive structural modeling (ISM) has been identified as a valuable tool in navigating these challenges. This study aimed to explore the potential of the ISM approach in the implementation of integrated mobility planning. Through a comprehensive literature review and case studies, the findings indicate that the ISM approach can be effectively utilized to identify and prioritize key issues, stakeholders, and strategies in the implementation process. By breaking down the problem into its constituent parts, the ISM approach provides a systemic understanding of the challenges faced in integrated mobility planning and facilitates the alignment of stakeholders and policies. The results of this study provide valuable insights for policymakers, urban planners, and transportation experts in their efforts to create comprehensive and sustainable mobility solutions for cities. The ISM approach has the potential to be a game-changer in the development of integrated mobility plans that are both efficient and effective, ensuring a better quality of life for urban residents.
