BIM-based Clash Resolution Process Using Fuzzy AHP Methods
Building information modeling (BIM) has recently improved design and project execution quality and resolved clashes. One of the most essential and challenging tasks in construction projects is resolving clashes in the design phase. If clash resolution is not addressed on time, construction projects’ cost, time, and quality will be hurt. Thus, this study aimed to facilitate the clash resolution process during the design stage. An Autodesk Navisworks plugin was developed to automatically display clash resolution methods to achieve this objective. Also, fuzzy AHP was used to prioritize clash resolution methods optimally. In addition, testing of the suggested plugin was based on a case study. As a result of the case study, the proposed plugin offered optimal resolution methods for resolving all clashes.
