Biopotential Response of Plants on Irrigation, Wind, and Tensile Stimuli
Biopotential generated in the plant life processes fluctuate with external stimuli such as soil shear, rainfall, and wind. In this study, the relationships between the external stimuli and plant biopotential were investigated by conducting irrigation tests, airflow tests, and root tensile tests on Japanese cedar, sawtooth oak, and Japanese green alder. Additionally, the characteristic frequencies of the biopotential response to each external stimulus was analyzed using a fast Fourier transform (FFT).
