Catchment Efficiency for Novel Nozzle Designs Used In Laser Cladding And Alloying
Abstract This paper describes the laser alloying and cladding nozzles that are being investigated, with the objective of alloying and cladding in any direction and at any angle of inclination with the highest possible efficiency. Measurement of the powder delivery from the end of the nozzle to the substrate has formed the basis of this work, because without it, laser alloying and laser cladding would not be possible. The objective is to produce a nozzle that can be used in an industrial situation.
