3D Printing Review in Numerous Applications for Dentistry
3D and 4D printing are breaking technologies that enable objects ranging from polymers to metals to be accurately and expeditiously created. Rapid prototyping techniques is a modern approach to surgical preparation and simulink, using anatomical models. 3D printing techniques mainly include stereolithography, selective laser printing, fused deposit modelling in dentistry applications such as dental implants, craniofacial, maxillofacial, orthognathic, and periodontal treatments, endodontic non-surgical and surgical treatments, and the development of implant copings and frameworks and dental restorations. This study evaluated the advantages of RP/imaging/CAD/CAM in making implants for dental reconstruction, and it is beneficial to those patients who were otherwise unable to be treated because of the conventional methods. The study explores the possible effects of RP on 3D printed dental, bio-medical implants.
