Control of Intramolecular Interferences Through Benzene and Cyclophane Using Donor and Acceptor Groups
Abstract The elastic scattering quantum chemistry method is used to calculate electron transmission through donor-acceptor substituted benzene and cyclophane embedded in a (CH)x infinit chain. Through benzene interferences are controlled by these substituants either directly grafted on the ring or grafted on the other cyclophane ring. The cyclophane structure open a new way in the control of intramolecular interference due to the spatial separation in this molecule between the tunnelling channels and the polarization groups.
