    A blueprint for a typical Primary Health Care (PHC) facility for a smart village was described in Chap. 10. This chapter describes a successful implementation of a PHC facility in the village of Arakkambakkam, located at the outskirts of the state capital Chennai in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. This fully functional PHC serves as a centre for 53 surrounding villages. While this PHC was set up and is supported through a private philanthropic organization, the success of the PHC makes it a good candidate for replication or scaling in other rural settings in any country.
