Berthing and Mooring Accident Statistics and Use of Risk Analysis in Berthing and Mooring
Abstract This paper is divided into three parts as follows: First some marine casualty statistics for the world wide fleet, the Norwegian fleet, as well as some data on casualties in entries and departures to ports are given. Further, some methods and application of risk analysis to shipping safety issues will be presented. At last an introduction to some risk problems associated with offshore mooring will be given.
