Flood Susceptibility Modeling Using Forest-Based Regression
Flood is a disastrous event, having significant impact on environment and human life. Flood susceptibility modeling decreases the damage caused by floods, which is a chief component of water management. This study employs a forest-based classification and regression (FBR) in flood susceptibility analysis. A flood susceptibility map was developed using the flood influencing factors and a flood inventory map using FBR. ROC curve was utilized to study the efficiency of the model, having AUC value of 0.997, R-squared value 0.98 during training and 0.92 during validation.
