Influence of Nano-Al2O3-Mg-SiC on SS316L Perforated Clad Plate: Microstructure and Interfacial Study
Al2O3-Mg-SiC powder mixed alloy is used to synthesize the cladding sheet of SS316L perforated substrates. In this experimental study, an evaluation of the diffusion and interfacial effect according to the microstructural characteristics of the Al2O3-Mg-SiC/SS316L cladded plate is conducted. The present study reveals that the impact of different processing parameters such as perforation inside the plate and grain distribution of cladding material on the interfacial cohesion as well as diffusion controlled the joining process. Difference for the substrate distribution along the perforated zone and interface layer between the clad and substrate showed kinetic movement of the particles. Microstructural behavior at the different locations of the substrate has been discussed according to the particle diffusion and interface formation.
