Improving Calculation of Load-Bearing Capacity for Steel Tubular Piles, with Consideration for Experience Gained from Constructing a Crossing Over the Kerch Strait
This article provides a brief overview of the method for calculating the load-bearing capacity of large-diameter open-ended steel tubular piles. The method was successfully applied in constructing various large bridge and berthing structures, such as the transport crossing over the Kerch Strait. The calculation results were compared with the data on static load testing of the piles.
