Experimental Analysis of Resilient Modulus of Open-Graded Aggregate Material
This paper investigated the resilient modulus of open-graded aggregate material with repeated-load triaxial test according to American Association of State Highway and Transportation T307. The results were modelled with k-θ constitutive model to determine the material parameters. Open-graded aggregate material with nominal maximum aggregate size of 25 and 40 mm was used in this study. Specimens were fabricated with vibratory compaction at room condition and accounted for similar with dry density, compaction energy and test condition. The results show that gradation significantly affects to the resilient modulus of open-graded aggregate material. Specimen with larger nominal maximum aggregate size yields higher resilient modulus than the smaller one.
