Microstructure and Superconductivity in High Tc Materials
Abstract This paper considers a number of aspects relevant to the preparation and superconducting properties of high purity YBa2Cu307. Evidence for the incongruent melting of the material and its implications for producing large grained samples are discussed. Thermal expansion data for a sintered sample is presented and preliminary measurements on single crystalites are given.
