Issues Related to the 305 Meters Tower Erection
Abstract The aim of the article is to describe the construction method and the difficulties encountered for the execution of an exceptional and unique work within the 3rd Bosphorus Bridge: the erection of the A-shaped towers. The erection of the A-shaped towers was a highly challenging activity due to their geometry and to the two different methods of construction: the slip forming system and an automatic climbing formwork system.
