A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Fluid Structure Interactions
Fluid-structure interaction (FSI) is the interaction of some movable or deformable structure with an internal or surrounding fluid flow. FSI is an interdisciplinary research field with several applications in structural engineering, e.g., interaction of reservoir water, dam, and the surrounding canyon, or dynamic interaction of wind with high-rise towers.
The focus of FSI in this book will be on dam engineering application in static and dynamic conditions.
