New compositions of clay-chemical plugging grouts for grouting noncohesive soils
Conclusions Clays are the main component of grouts for creating grout curtains in alluvial soils. Clays of the montmorillonite group, which are exceptionally scarce materials, have found wide use in grouting works. The developed compositions of grouts have expanded the assortment of types of clays used for grouting works; they have made it possible to use in large amount certain local clays of the kaolinite group and also gypsified clays for preparing clay-chemical grouts. The experience of the wide introduction by Gidrospetsstroi of the developed composition of grouts in the construction of grout curtains showed their technical and economic effectiveness.
