Effect of the Sayano-Shushenskoe hydropower complex on the environment
Conclusions 1. Construction and operation of the Sayano-Shushenskoe hydrostation did not introduce noticeable deviations in the land and aquatic ecosystems of the region with respect to the most important indices — climate and water quality. 2. It is necessary to continue monitoring the aquatic and land ecosystems for 10–15 years to accumulate a data bank on the effect of the hydropower complex on the environment.
