Ordering Dynamics of Polymer Mixtures at Phase Transition
Abstract Experimental studies on ordering dynamics of liquid polymer mixtures at spinodal decomposition by using time resolved light scattering are presented. Particular emphasis is laid on the kinetics of the early stage and late stage spinodal decomposition of polymer mixtures, and on the effects of shear deformation and shear flow on the concentration fluctuations of the mixtures. Universality and unique features in the dynamical behavior of the polymers were also discussed in comparison with the dynamical behavior of small-molecule systems.
