A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
City Attractiveness. Research. Key Findings. Conclusions
In this final chapter we will study the results of analyzing the 140 most attractive cities in the world with the proposed model. A description of the research methodology, model and expert surveys is made. It is not about developing another ranking of cities. It is an open model where citizens can enter as inputs their assessment of the city’s services according to their circumstances and their emotional preferences. Some smartphone apps will obtain the cities that best suit those preferences. To adjust the model, surveys have been used in the most important events in the world in SmartCities. The results are evaluated around Magnetism, Profitability and other city comparisons. Additionally, the deliverables and tools to be used in this study are described. Finally, conclusions and recommendations are obtained for city managers and talented citizens who are evaluating the best city to better develop their potential. An extra section is added on the impact of COVID in our cities.
