Climate Adaptation of “Smart City” by Assessing Bioclimatic Comfort for UBEM
Abstract The article considers the issues of forecasting the microclimate of cities and the wind energy potential of residential buildings applicable to Russia, Northern and Eastern Europe. The study analyzed the climatic structure of a large city, bioclimatic comfort, and presented a climatic analysis on the example of Moscow. The interrelation of a wind regime with climatic and town planning factors is specified. Possible approaches to the assessment of the wind energy potential of the building are presented. The foreign experience and classification of factors affecting the placement of wind power plants were analyzed. The possibility of detailing the microclimate data on the wind regime for the placement of wind power plants, taking into account urban improvement and landscaping, was indicated. The issue of primary binding of wind power plants in building on the basis of the wind power potential of buildings and territory was considered. The concept of the “Smart City” is considered to form a management system for wind and energy potential in urban construction and to assess the comfort of aeration for pedestrians with integration into Urban Building Energy Modeling (UBEM).
