Calculation of large-diameter concrete-encased steel pipelines
Conclusions 1. A concrete-encased steel pipeline should be calculated for a uniform internal pressure in the ring direction according to the scheme of a multilayer pipeline with consideration of the formation of cracks in the concrete. 2. In the limit state, limited plastic deformations of the pipeline materials, leading to some redistribution of forces in the rings and to the rational use of metal, are admissible. Here opening of cracks in concrete should not be greater than is allowed by the standards.
