Conclusions 1. Two-year operation of the overflow road crossing proved its serviceability, and the simplicity and quickness of its construction and relatively low cost proved its economic effectiveness. 2. Such a temporary overflow crossing can be used when constructing other hydrostations, and a maximum effectiveness can be achieved when the river bed and banks are resistant to erosion (then their reinforcement is eliminated). 3. Such an overflow bridge can be used also as a permanent structure for secondary roads under appropriate circumstances. 4. For all this, it is necessary to count on a loss of traffic between the river banks during the passage of floods. To some extent this can be regulated by designating the appropriate crest height of the crossing and cross section of the outlets.
