The first fundamental step is a thorough preliminary study of the building and its context to gather various types of information. The more comprehensive this phase is, the more correct the subsequent decision phases will be. Multicriteria techniques are a suitable tool to select one or more reuse alternatives from a range of options that can be expected to provide reliable solutions.
