Evaluation Study on the Suitability of Commercial Format Development in Nanchang Wanshougong Urban Historic Conservation Areas
As a concentrated embodiment of urban context, the urban historic conservation areas contains the material aspects such as streets, buildings and other landscapes, and at the same time covers the historical memories of the past people’s values, aesthetic tastes, lifestyles, folk art and other non-material aspects. However, in the revival of urban historic conservation areas today, problems such as solidification of development models, excessive commercialization, and extensive reconstruction are still emerging. This paper attempts to construct a suitability evaluation index system, obtain data through questionnaires and fieldwork, explore the suitability of development of Nanchang Wanshougong urban historic conservation areas, and propose a feasible strategy for the urban historic conservation areas.
