Conclusions 1. The main factors affecting the seepage under dams are: the design features and dimensions of the dam, the acting head, the water-permeability of the foundation material, the stress state of the foundation material, and the gas component in the seeping water. 2. It is recommended that the seepage analysis based on these factors be carried out by a similar procedure, using the method of successive replacement of the steady states.
