Abstract Porous sliding bearings impregnated with oils are extensively used in industry due to their advantages. The oil content effectively lubricates the sliding surfaces lowering the friction and wear rate, and hindering the severe adhesion of mating surfaces. They do not need continuous lubrication supply making the bearing structure more simple and inexpensive.
