Electronic Transport in Disordered Organic Chains
Abstract We develop a model for calculating the conductance through disordered linear chains. The behaviour of the conductance for disordered systems shows a strong dependence with the length of the system, number of chains and energy of the incoming electrons. We suggest a link of these results and STM measurements on biologicals. Some of the features of those experiments could be explained in terms of properties of disordered systems.
