151Eu Mössbauer Studies of Some Valence Fluctuating Systems
Abstract The field of valence fluctuations (VF) is still not a closed subject, as evidenced by the organisation of this very conference. In any such situation, there is a need for more experimental data for getting a better picture and also to refine the theory. Our understanding of VF phenomenon can be extended in two ways, viz., (i) identify new systems (stoichiometric) and (ii) modify existing systems, by substitution or dilution and study the modification behaviour. In this paper we report some of our recent 151Eu Mossbauer results of some stoichiometric, substituted and dilute VF systems.
